The Mustangs faced Harrison on Saturday afternoon. The boys won 250-210, the girls lost 241-224, and the TEAM won 474-451, marking the 7th straight team victory over Harrison by the Kennesaw Mountain swimmers and divers.
The boys were led by Connor Haigh, who won both the 200 IM and the 100 Breaststroke; Zach Lowe, who won the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle, Brett Reason, who won the 50 Freestyle; Ben McClain, who won the 100 Backstroke; and Karsten Dixon, who won the diving event, breaking his own school record. The boys also won the 200 Medley Relay (Ben McClain, Connor Haigh, Aidan Sherlock, and Brett Reason) and the 400 Free Relay (Zach Lowe, Brett Reason, Ben McClain and Aidan Sherlock).
The girls were led by Addie Rose Bullock, who won the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly; Gabby Auerbach, won won the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke; Brinson Griffeth, won got a state cut in the 100 Breaststroke, and Amanda Ware, who placed 2nd and 3rd in her events. The girls also won the 200 Medley Relay (Gabby Auerbach, Brinson Griffeth, Addie Rose Bullock, and Amanda Ware) and the 400 Free Relay (Gabby Auerbach, Jenna Ardagna, Celine Jarvis, and Addie Rose Bullock).
The swimmers and divers had combined 14 state qualifying swims and dives. The Mustangs faced Duluth, Peachtree Ridge, and Campbell in the Twin Challenge on Saturday, Dec. 2nd at Mountain Park Aquatic Center at 6:30pm.
